Story

Table13 was created by Federico Viciani, a Tottenham local originally from Florence in Italy.

In 2020, while on furlough from his role at renowned restaurant and bar group, Vinoteca, Federico started to dream about opening his own business, an all-day spot serving and selling delicious food and exceptional coffee.

After advertising for a like-minded partner to come on board, Federico met Sofia De Angelis, formerly from Michelin-starred sketch in Mayfair. They quickly secured a local Tottenham location for a pop up, and got to work developing Table13’s first menu, complete with homemade pastries, sandwiches, soft drinks and wine.

But then, disaster struck. Just a few days before the pop up was due to open, as the first lockdown was lifting, Federico was called back to work by the team at Vinoteca. On his way to a meeting before restaurants reopened, Federico slipped and dislocated his shoulder, ruling out both the pop up and his return to work. During his recovery, Federico never lost sight of his vision for Table13. In September 2020, he pressed ahead and launched Table13 as a full-scale site in Tottenham Hale. As the café quickly became popular, Sofia returned to join the team, bringing her exquisite pastry skills with her.

Now, Table13 is a true hub for the community, inspired by Federico and Sofia’s Italian roots, with all the best bits of London hospitality.
